Great Read: The Robe

What if the robe that Christ wore before being crucified was left charged with the aura and power of The One who wore it? Almost becoming a living thing, with the ability to affect people who touch it, even though Christ is no longer on the earth?

This is the premise of The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas. The book focuses on the Roman soldier who was given the robe after the soldiers cast lots for Christ's raiment, and what happens to him when he realizes that the robe isn't just fabric anymore. Douglas gives the soldier a name, a family, and a compelling story that I found fascinating. This is one of my very favorite books.
