DIY Kindle Case {by the Duck Tape genius}

Jared's grandpa gave him some money for earning his Eagle scout award. And Jared had plans for that money, big plans. He bought a Kindle Fire! The only problem? He spent all his money from grandpa plus some to get it, so he had none left for a case.

He solved that problem. (That kid is genius, I tell you. Genius.)

Behold:
I noticed him get some cardboard from the garage last night, and start cutting and cutting and then taping and taping and taping. I had no idea what he was up to, and this is a normal occurrence in our house, so I didn't ask.
The Kindle slides right in, and that blue tab he made tucks underneath it and holds it in place.
He even made a tab on back that folds out to hold the Kindle up at an angle.

When I told him how cool I thought it was, he said, "Mom. It's only temporary until I get more money to buy one."

Well okay then. But I still think he's a genius! :)

  1. Hey Jared, as usual, this is an awesome piece of work! Now let's take your design to the next step and build it out of carbon fiber. Figure out when you have some time and we can go to the lab and make it happen.
