Ringing in 2014

Happy New Year!!

We have a few fun New Year's Eve traditions at our house.

Numero Uno: I absolutely have to make clam chowder, Lil' Smokies wrapped in crescent dough, and get some cheesecake or we're talking mutiny. But that's okay, because this stuff is yummy and it's definitely New Year-worthy.

After that, we watch a movie or two. (Last night was Man of Steel, which I must say I enjoyed although it was a different take on Superman than the Christopher Reeve versions I'm used to).

Then we might play some games or finish putting together our holiday puzzle.

This is a shot of this year's puzzle, which we did finish last night--only to discover that there is a piece missing that refuses to be found! Aaarrrggghhh. #annoying

After that, we wait for midnight and then drink a little sparkling cider. Then it's nighty-night!!
