The Daffodil Principle

There is a story told called The Daffodil Principle.  It's a true story about a lady who, on her own, planted over 5 acres of daffodils on her property. She planted every variety and color of daffodils available. When asked by wondering passers-by how in the world she had managed to plant so many daffodils, the answer was simple. "One bulb at a time."

I like this story, because it reminds me that all the good we can do in this world can be accomplished "one bulb at a time," or one small, seemingly insignificant act at a time. All of our good deeds add up and contribute to a beautiful whole. Even when we feel insignificant ourselves.
