Lemi Shine Review and GIVEAWAY!

Back in April, I wrote this post about Lemi Shine and my accidental discovery that it cleans more than just dishes. I wrote it completely on my own because I was excited about the discovery. The people at Lemi Shine discovered my blog post and featured it on their Facebook page. That was like icing on the cake to me!

Recently, Lemi Shine sent me this package of free products--a full size Lemi Shine Original, a full size Lemi Shine Rinse, a full size Lemi Shine machine cleaner, and a Lemi Shine reusable tote. The deal is that I review their products here on my blog. (I freely admit they didn't need to twist my arm).

I still think Lemi Shine Original is the best thing EVER for your dishwasher. My dishes don't get clean without it. As I said in my earlier post, it also cleans hard water scale off my kitchen faucet handles, around the stone counter, and off of my bathroom sinks. I still use it to shine my stainless steel sink, and since that earlier post I have also used it to clean my stainless pots and pans when there is something baked on--it really works perfectly, and they shine like new afterwards.

I have been using the Lemi Shine Rinse in my dishwasher as well with great results. I think it does help to control the hard water problem that we have here, and my dishwasher (stainless) is looking new on the inside. The outside? Don't ask....too many fingerprints, etc. right now! (Lemi Shine, how bout a cream that can safely clean the outside of my stainless appliances?)

After Lemi Shine sent me the machine cleaner, I took two of the three packets and ran them through my washing machine. It's had a tendency to smell musty inside, but after the Lemi Shine treatment, there was no more musty smell. It smelled like....nothing. Which is probably how it should smell.

*******Now for the best part!! The GIVEAWAY!*******
Lemi Shine will send one winner the exact same package that I received, pictured above, with the three Lemi Shine products in full size and a reusable tote. YOU REALLY WANT TO WIN THIS--and here's how. Simply leave a comment telling me whether you've used Lemi Shine, and if you have, your favorite use for it. You have until Thursday, August 30th at midnight to enter. A winner will be selected randomly from all comments and posted on Friday afternoon.

Good Luck!!

  5. I cannot live without my LEMI SHINE! I always have a spare bottle of the powder and rinse in my pantry:) I have introduced it to so many friends and they have had only GREAT things to say about it too. It took me 2 years of trying almost EVERY product out there (and thinking that there was something wrong with my dishwasher) to find LEMI SHINE and I cannot say enough good things about the products. I love the machine cleaner too. I agree that a cream based product for Stainless appliances would be a fabulous addition to their line! I'll take anything LEMI, any day:)

  6. I live in Limestone Alley - Austin, TX. When we bought our house in 2006, the dishwasher had 2" of standing water in it and was encrusted with brown and white scale. I ran it a few times. The dishes came out dirtier looking than what I put them in. So we figured the dishwasher was broken and bought a new one. After only six months, the new dishwasher was so encrusted that it looked like the old one! I was visiting a friend, telling her how all of my glassware was so coated with white cloudiness that I was apparently going to have to replace it all and then hand-wash it. She said, "Wait, let me show you something." She pulled a crystal-clear water glass from her cupboard. And then she showed me her Lemi-Shine and told me all about it. When I left her house, I went straight to Target and bought some. I had to run my dishwasher twice to get the limestone minerals out of the dishwasher -- and I had to physically chip sheets of the lime off the walls, spray rotors, and door. (I took photos of the crud when I was halfway through chipping it out because it was so impressive.) But by the third full cycle, the dishwasher was immaculately sparkling clean. The glassware was clear. It was a Lemi-Shine miracle -- and the product is all natural (love that). I am kind of a Lemi-Shine proselytizing nut. I use it on everything in our house that touches water and I bend everyone's ear about it. Thank you so much for inventing this product! I use it every single time I run the dishwasher by putting it in the main soap cup, just like the Lemi-Shine folks say to do.

  12. I love Lemi Shine! The stuff saves me from having to do dishes by hand, because without the stuff our dishes just don't come clean! I'm sure our river-bottom water doesn't help.

  13. I haven't used Lemi Shine and didn't even know of the product, but would so love to give it a try. I am thinking this would be great in the dishwasher as the soaps they have out now leave such a film on dishes and makes you wonder if your dishes are really clean or not.
